Question:

Selling coffee?

i would likr to sell coffee door to door what do i need and how do i get the coffee to sell

Answers:
It might work. Costco has really cheap coffee that is great. Packaged in 3# bags about $9. Repackage it in great bags of 1# EA and sell for $7 # - go to houses with it in the best basket you can find with a cute dog with you.

A nice business suit,And probably get a briefcase,And a good selling pitch,or tune, (I.e. The coffe that i sell is really great,
Drink it early and drink it late.

Check with your local laws, some require a special license to peddle your wares door to door. Continuing, you will need a business license, many allow you to apply for these on line. www.yourstate's abbreviation.gov (Are you going to be a Corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, Limited liability company, etc...? You must know this before you apply for your business license!!)

Also, if you are repackaging/or packaging any type of food item, you will need to be approved/licensed by the local health board.

Provided you can get all of the above mentioned done, you will need a product--not necessarily great, but you need to be able to convince your potential customers that it is great.

Do you live in a state with food tax? You'll need to get set up with your state's tax dept. (Now, you need to know which accounting method you will be using.) You must be able to show an accurate record of accounting and prove that you have taken aside the necessary taxes.

Is this just going to be you, or will you have employees? If you have employees, you must pay into workers compensation and possibly other state organizations. (CHECK YOUR STATE LAWS!!!)

Provided you can get all of this done and are making money hand over fist year--you'd better make prepayents to the IRS, or you can be faced with penalties.

LET'S ADDRESS WHERE TO GET YOUR COFFEE: There are numerous supply houses that create product just for resale.
You can find one for your specific category via internet search, or by referral of someone in the business. (NOTE: most places will not give you a WHOLESALE quote without having a business license!!)
YOU CAN NOT BUY SOMEONE'S TRADEMARKED PRODUCT AND REPACKAGE IT AS YOUR OWN!!! YOU GET CAUGHT, YOU'LL NEVER PAY OFF THE LAWSUITS!!!
