Bottled water question...?!

Question:

Bottled water question...?

How long can you store bottled water before it goes bad?

Answers:
Always store in glass containers, not plastic. Water is the universal solvent, it will dissolve some part of everything it contacts. When water is stored in plastic containers, it takes on some of the chemicals that the plastic is made from. Water stored in glass containers tastes better, looks better and is better for you. If our water looks and tastes better, we will naturally drink more, resulting in a multitude of health benefits.

In general a product's shelf life or safe storage time is affected by a number of variables, including intrinsic parameters, such as pH and moisture content, and extrinsic parameters, such as environmental factors. Understanding these variables is key to maintaining a safe food product.

Properly stored bottled water has indefinitely shelf live. However, long-term storage of bottled water may result in aesthetic defects, such as off-odor and taste. IBWA advises consumers to store bottled water in an unopened container at room temperature (or cooler), out of direct sunlight and away from solvents and chemicals such as gasoline, paint thinners and dry cleaning chemicals.

Bottled water is an excellent choice for emergency water storage. FDA Good Manufacturing Practices mandate that bottled water be produced in a sanitary environment and bottled in sanitary, safety-sealed containers.

more than 1 year, i think

INDEFINITLY

If you buy it, then it's good for about 1 year.

Even if it says it's good longer, I would still use it within a year, those plastic chemicals are bad and they leak into the water over time.

If you just run it and save it, I don't know, but I would say a couple of weeks might be ok.

It's funny that we ask such a question about water, huh?

Most bottles have a "use by" date stamped on the bottle. Water should be ok for years---- unless it got filled with nasty bacteria filled water!

Why don't you re-use old bottles, wash well, fill from your tap and store those?

A LOT less money!

Lifes

Until hell freezes over.

Back when people stored water in wooden casks, the wood would rot and foul the water. Plastic doesn't rot.

There should be a date on the bottle

Maybe for 8 months.

Here's a link that will tell you more than you ever needed to know about water! LOL http://www.wisc.edu/foodsafety/consumer/...

its like candy and honey never.

It don't go bad.
