Does adding honey to green tea negate its benefits?!

Question:

Does adding honey to green tea negate its benefits?

I recently read an article about a scientific study that proved adding milk to tea almost complete nullifies its health benefits. However, I can't find any similar, reliable information about honey in tea. So, does anybody out there know if honey does the same thing when added to green tea?

Answers:
To the above answer: the study was recently released that milk destroys the beneficial chemicals in tea.

I am not aware of any studies showing the same effect from honey. But honey is just added sugar, and best to stay away from that when possible.

No, absolutely not.

Your fine

Honey and Milk are both good. Milk has calcium and protein in it,. And honey can help curb your cravings for sweets and also honey can help with allergies. (if the honey is made close to where you live!)

I don't see anything wrong with drinking milk+honey in your tea if you like it, hun!

How does milk eliminate the benifits of the tea? Wouldn't it just add some calcium to the tea? Does it really eliminate the detox and antioxidants from the tea? I doubt it. I'll look this info up! Thanks and Good Luck, hun

y would you add honey to your green tea?

no it does not. if you mixed that you get both honey and green tea benefits :) better than adding sugar. but if you are watching your weight...you should drink it without adding milk, sugar or honey....

i drink my green tea pure. i get my long jing from Teacuppa.com and i dont think it will be nice if i add honey into it...but i guess it's a preference thing...
