Which Teas should be served with Milk and which ones with Lemon?!

Question:

Which Teas should be served with Milk and which ones with Lemon?

I've switched from Coffee to teas. I have an assortment of teas and not sure which are best to drink with milk and which are best to drink with lemon and sugar. Any suggestions?

Answers:
Basically, drink what ever tea you like with what ever accompaniment you like. Remember, you are the one you have to please the most. If having guests, offer both milk or cream, and lemon...let your guests choose.

Personal taste should prevail but as a rule you don't add milk to herbal teas.

Fruit or herbal teas are best with lemon. Black teas are best with milk. Of course it all depends on your tastes. This is how I prefer it. I don't know if there are actual rules about what you can or should put in your tea.

earl grey tea is best with lemon and a bit of honey (blue honey is recommended)

english breakfast is ideal with milk (sugar optional)

darjelling tea is as good as it gets by itself (slight spicy taste)

cammomile and green tea would be great either chilled or hot, sweetened with honey is the best...

i like herbal teas as is, but add a splash of milk to strong teas like earl grey or black pekoe to reduce bitterness. experiment to find what suits your taste

any kind of tea are good with lemon juice, but for black tea use cream, not milk.

I prefer them all plain, no milk, no sugar... with only exception to lipton yellow label, such a tasteless broth that one need to add stuff in it.

Green teas - nothing in, please. Definitely no milk, its a no-no.
herbals, as you like it.
Black teas, no milk in anything citrusy (it smells like curdled milk, yuk), it is traditional for some in black strong teas such as earl gray (bergamot is a citrus, but it works), English Breakfast, Orange Pekoe...
Black teas can also be drank with lemon - it is more refreshing then, and helps digestion. Chamomile is also often drunk with lemon.

YOu put the lemon slice in the cup first, then add tea.
You add milk in the cup AFTER the tea is already poured.

as i once heard from a tea expert, you can have sugar in tea,but never milk.but personal taste beats all.

Black teas - milk
Herbal teas - honey and lemon

traditionally it is black tea that is best with milk or honey or lemon. green tea and white tea are traditionally drunk by themselves. rooibos (or red tea) is good with sugar and/or milk but i wouldnt recommend lemon in it. herbal teas are fine with lemon or sugar.
