Sodium is NOT salt.

Sodium is but one element in salt which is a combination of sodium (which is actually a metal) and chlorine (a gas). When combined they form sodium chloride which we commonly refer to as salt.

And for you chemistry buffs, the sodium and chlorine atoms are held together by ionic bonds.

Sodium means SALT! SALT ususallly brings out the flavor in foods/beverages.

I believe it is salt. That is a lot in that drink. I don't know how good or bad that would be but I personally would not drink anything with that much "sodium" in it.

Sodium is salt. Salt can be bad if you take it in large quantities and it also causes water retension. It's not really bad for you.

salt causes the chemical reactions necessary in your body, but really painful on female stuff around periods. Look at the sodium grams in Energy drinks like Red Bull and you'll feel much better.

Sodium (IPA: /?s??di?m/) is a chemical element which has the symbol Na (Latin natrium), atomic number 11, atomic mass 22.9898 g/mol, oxidation number +1. Sodium is a soft, silvery, highly reactive element and is a member of the alkali metals within "group 1" (formally known as ‘group IA’). It has only one stable isotope, 23Na. Sodium was first isolated by Sir Humphry Davy in 1807 by passing an electric current through molten sodium hydroxide. Sodium quickly oxidizes in air so it must be stored in an inert environment such as kerosene. Sodium is present in great quantities in the earth's oceans as sodium chloride. It is also a component of many earthly minerals, and it is an essential element for animal life.

eeew. why would you want all that crap in your water?

10% of the RDI for the vitamins/minerals you listed is nothing.

Basically, it sounds like that stuff is watered-down Gatorade. Real water would be better for you, but this stuff is better than Gatorade or sugared sodas.

Sodium is an element, symbol Na, that is vital to the body's healthy functioning. It works in conjunction with Potassium, symbol K. Too much of one or the other is not healthy, and can cause water weight gain and bloatedness in some people. For those who are sodium-sensitive, it can raise their blood pressure.

sodium is salt
