Is the cola nut used for anything else other than flavouring cola drinks?!

Question:

Is the cola nut used for anything else other than flavouring cola drinks?

Answers:
The bitter seeds are chewed for their stimulatory effects or prepared for use in medicines and foods. The seeds contain caffeine and theobromine. The name for cola drinks is derived from this plant, although the cola nut is no longer used as an ingredient in most commercial drinks.

It actually keeps you awake. But it is like nothing but cafeine. SO be careful if you use it.

People chew them for the caffeine.

wiki suggests its eaten to clean the mouth and keep you awake, thats about it. they dont even use it to make soft drink much anymore.
