Can distilled water be bad to drink?!

Question:

Can distilled water be bad to drink?

I heard its only for machine useage not for drinking water?

Answers:
It is safe. However it is a waste of energy and money. Best to save it for car batteries and steam irons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/distilled_w...

Yes, it is bad, but not potentially bad, it is useless because distilled water doesn't contain the mineral salt that we need for our body, and too much will cause problem to your kidneys and stomach i think.

I don't think it's bad to drink - but here's proof:

It will draw the minerals out of your body,
don't drink it!

Have you heard of Osmosis? That's when something flows from greater to lesser concentration. Like the old advise of sleeping with your head on your school books (only that doesn't really work...too bad) When you drink distilled water it absorbs minerals from your body and then they are excreted. Won't kill you or anything...but in excess, it can throw off your electrolyte balance or dehydrate you. Doesn't taste that great anyway but it's not poison.

yeah i think it's bad.

it is bad. your cells contain water with a certain salt amount. if you drink something salty, they pour water out into your system to match the concentration. and distilled water contains no salt. so the cells open up to math that concentration. since there is nothing, your cells could burst after a certain amount of distilled water. one sip will not be harmful.
