Is ginger ale better for you than regular sodas i.e. coke, pepsi (not diet)?!

Question:

Is ginger ale better for you than regular sodas i.e. coke, pepsi (not diet)?

As in, obviously it has less calories but are there any benefits to drinking ginger ale as opposed to soda?

Answers:
ginger is a natural root and is healthy the asians use ginger in cooking and for well being they drink it for a energy boost...it is compared to caffiene as it makes your heart rate increase , it has been advised that people with heart conditions not consume this root ...i buy it fresh and add it to black tea and sweetner it is delicious ....so i would say that ginger ale is better than any cola product....though that is my preference......

Anything is better than sodas

Probally the same but tastes awful.

I don't think ginger ale has any caffeine like a lot of other sodas do, but other than that I think it's about the same.

it's all just carbonated sugar water.

ginger ale is supposedly good for upset stomachs, like sprite or 7up are considered to be. Carbonated water would probably be just as good though.

The worst part of soda is that the carbonation is what is bad for you. Ginger Ale, being carbonated, would still be bad... Aside from its nasty taste.

They all contain 17 teaspoons of sugar per 12 ounce serving. I drink sparkling water instead with a touch of black cherry flavoring.

It DOES have less calories, but it is still not the healthiest choice. I'd drink water or sparkling water instead.

the caramel coloring that is in colas is very hard on your system- if you must drink soda- go for the clear stuff

Its probably worse than other sodas cuz its just got too much sugar in it. Why not compare the sugar content by reading the labels?

Ginger Ale is the best soda for you now. It is made from the Ginger Root. That is probably why it tastes kind of funny. Some people think that Ginger Ale is better than water but I don't believe that.
