What is the best way to stop drinking Pop especially Mountain Dew?!

Question:

What is the best way to stop drinking Pop especially Mountain Dew?

Answers:
Just stop. Replace it with another beverage.

stop buying it

Yep quit buying it...drink more juice and water. :)

I love Mt. Dew. So I know by experience. Its in your mind. Drink juice or tea or water.

Commit to yourself that before you have any soda, you will drink a glass of water. That way you are not depriving yourself of something you enjoy, but will drink less because your stomach is fuller.

You could switch to Diet Mountain Dew for awhile and then switch to water with lemon or lime....

Just stop. Replace it with another beverage.

why would anyone stop drinking mountain dew?? anyway just drink water, its not that hard to pick something different

switch to water
and add a slice of lime or lemon
to flavour the water

Maybe try drinking another carbonated beverage with far less calories and caffeine as a substitute. People say it's the caffeine that's addictive, but I've found that if I drink a Clearly Canadian or something similar, with about half the calories per serving, it will suffice (I hate diet anything).

Also, if you can, try this: When you eat, always drink water with the meal, and then treat yourself to a soda later. That should help cut down on your overall soda consumption and it will allow you to enjoy the taste of your food more.

Hmmm, sounds familiar... but I did it. First I switched to sparkling mineral water, then water with a bit of lemon or lime in it. (I hate plain water). The first week it's awful because you really want your delicious sugary burst of liquid sweetness. But, don't drink the pop again - or you get addicted to it and have to start all over again.

I drink about a gallon of water a day and still sometimes have a bottle of soda. At least I've cut down.

But the best way is to cut down, and replace it with water.
