Has anyone tried to make an "innocent" smoothie????!
Has anyone tried to make an "innocent" smoothie????
their cartons state what they claim is in the smoothies eg "2 bananas, 37 strawberries, 12 grapes" but they claim that is all that is in them but they taste too good to be that simple.
im tempeted to stick all the fruit listed on a carton in a blender and see if it tastes the same. has anyone ever done the same??

For smoothies try this:
1 med sized yellow banana (green has no flavor, so head towards the riper side)
Frozen peaches (slightly thawed)
Frozen strawberries (slightly thawed)
Plain or Vanilla lowfat yogurt
Honey (to taste)
1% or skim milk to thin
I don't recommend raspberries, because there are too many seeds, and blueberries are great, but in moderation because the skin and seeds leave a funky texture. Otherwise use the freshest fruit you can find, or use the bags of frozen. Cherries and peaches work well together. If you decide to use melon remember that it is mostly water, and try using a bit of mint with it.
Smoothies really are that easy. Also, you can add some ice to them if you would like during the blending process. It gives some texture and will aid in thinning it out later.
Happy smoothie making!

no, sorry darling. but let us know how it goes
No because it is a lot easier, quicker and cheaper to just buy the product ready made even if they are between £1 and £1.50 to buy!
i usually make smoothies out of this:
sugar
milk
strawberry yogurt
frozen strawberries (but heated in the microwave to make them thawed out, and have a sauce, they are sweeter that way)
A very over ripe frozen bananna.
there probably is sugar, milk and a coupla other things at least
btw not listing all ingredients doesn't comply with FDA standards
i wouldn't try it...try using a food processor if you want a bunch of meshed up fruits. you need some kind of liquid to make it into a drink!
They probably use a juicer as well so the drink has some liquid to it. Throwing it all in a blender maybe good too!
Do your own thing, be inventive.
yes i have and it was very bitter indeed, i added a small amount of artificial sweetner and a touch of (so called) natural fruit juice to take the bitterness away. i do beleive that it is not fruit alone in an "innocent" smoothie.
