How in God's name did you misspell "replace" and "filter" (is that the British spelling?) and use horrible grammar, yet you nailed the spelling of "refrigerator." Wonders never cease.
most are in-line filters found in the water line in the back of the refrigerator.
find the water valve, and turn it off
unscrew the cap/cover of the filter assembly
remove and replace cartridge
replace cover
turn on water
check for leaks in the cover
that in one form or another will cover most filters
