How can I brew coffee w/out a coffee maker?!

Question:

How can I brew coffee w/out a coffee maker?

My coffeemaker broke tonight and I desperately want a hot cup of coffee. I do not like instant. How can I brew coffee w/out one. Any suggestions?

Answers:
take a strainer and put a coffe filter and add boiling water til you get the amount you want .....you can also use the coffe filter from your coffee maker and pour boiling water thru it....

make a funnel out of a doubled up paper towel. Put the "funnel" over the top of your coffee cup. Put the coffee into the paper funnel. Slowly pour your hot or boiling water into the funnel Thu the coffee.

put one of your coffee filters directly in your cup, add coffee, add hot water, let steep for 2 minutes, grasp filter edge and withdraw filter CAREFULLY out of cup, allowing brewed coffee to drain. add milk and/or suger to taste, enjoy!

Use a stainer and hold it over your coffee pot, or a pan, and have a filter or paper towel in it with the coffee and pour boiling hot water through it. Make it like you would for the amount you make in your coffee pot. Might as well make a whole pot! And, if you don't keep it heated, so it gets stronger, you can just warm up a cup of that in the morning. Gotta go, my coffee if done! LOL! I just couldn't resist that!

Make it like the did before the electric coffee pot. The way "Cookie" from Rawhide made it.

Put a pot of water on to boil. Once it does put your coffe grounds directly in the pot. Let it simmer for a few minutes then slowly pour into your cup. You can strain the grounds through a filter though. I would not subject you to them getting into your cup. Though people did use to eat coffee beans. I found this article on it here.
