How much water should we drink each day?!

Question:

How much water should we drink each day?

Answers:
depends on activity and age.

I heard a nutrionist on tv say that we should drink half our body weight in water a day. For example, if you weight 140 pounds, you should drink 70 ounces of water a day. Most water bottles are 8 ounces so that would be at least 9 bottles of water.

I am trying to drink at least 2 x 75 cl bottles a day, but my job is not all that active, so I am not really dehydrating as much as people in active jobs.

64 oz. is the recommended norm.

8 glasses (10 oz)

8 glasses.

64 oz's throughout the day. You will need about another 16 oz's if you work out or live in a very warm climate and are out doors alot.

I think that the rule of thumb is that your urine should be a very light yellow - that shows that you are getting enough water (you don't just have to drink water eating foods that have lots of water help as well, like melons.)

Q. My question is do we need 48 oz of water intake or is it 64 oz/day. Thanks.

A. Current recommendations for water are 8, eight ounce glasses per day which would equal 64 ounces. This amount should be sufficient for most healthy persons who are not in a hot, humid environment or sweating from physical work or exercise and should drink more water, more often.

Easier method is to pay attention to the color of your urine each time you urinate. (Urine that has accumulated in your bladder during sleep will be more concentrated and yellow. Otherwise, if your kidneys didn't concentrate urine during sleep, you would have to wake up to urinate.) After the urinating the first time after waking up, your urine should be colorless and odorless for the remainder of the day. This assumes that you have normal functioning kidneys and no bladder disease or infection.

FYI, within 15 minutes of eating asparagus, you may notice a particular smell to your urine. It is harmless and comes from a natural chemical found in asparagus called methylthioacrylate and methylthiopropionate.

8 8oz. galsses is preferable

between 64-80 oz. or 8-10 8 oz. glasses per day

8 glasses

10- 8oz. glasses I think

well i really dont know but i drink like about two cups aday it depends if i am thursty or not but you should drink alot of water if you can

I believe its 8 8oz glasses a day

A: Hi! As much as you feel is good for you. The recommended 8 glasses of water is really too much for some people. In addition, I have heard that drinking too much water can flush out the stored vitamins in your system, so to go easy on it.

Also, from my point of view, you might like to drink spring or bottled water more than water from the faucet .... because the taste is purer ... so if there is difficulty in making yourself drink enough = and there should not be = try a purer water. After all, we are all different, and they cannot "legislate" how much water to drink.

P.S. Does tea, which after all is brewed in water,
not count ...? Peace!
