Is decaff coffee bad for you?
Answers:
The biggest thing people worry about when it comes to drinking coffee is the caffeine content. Caffeine can be bad for you causing irregular heartbeat, nervousness, and gastrointestinal problems. These effects differ from person to person though, some people are more sensitive to the effects of caffeine.
Most decaf coffees have a very low caffeine level, but it is different for every brand. Consumer studies have been done and they found out that one cup of decaf coffee from some coffee shops had almost the same amount of caffeine as a regular cup of coffee! I think the highest level was found at Starbucks.
So decaf is probably better for you than regular if you have problems ingesting caffeine, but you should be a wary consumer too. Make sure you know exactly what you are getting.
no.
No it's fine most Decaf coffee's are only like 97 % caffeine free.
Most people think that decaf is bad because of the way the caffeine is extracted from the bean, but it's not. If it is done by a chemical process, it may not seem safe, but it is 100%. Also another way to get rid of the caffeine is thorough a Swiss-Water method, which means that the beans are steamed and the outer layers of the bean (which are rich in caffeine) are removed. This process is safe too.
For some people decaf is much better, because it doesn't created raised blood pressure or heart rates.
For me.. I am a coffee/caffeine addict, so I need my caffeine!
