Question:

Y doesnt coffee mate dissolve in cold coffee???

i took a nap & my coffee was cold when i got up,i added more coffee & coffee mate but the coffee mate doesnt dissolve in it.

so whats the answer to this mind boggling question? lol :P

Answers:
The solid fats in coffeemate do not readily emulsify in cold liquids. The warmer or hotter the coffee, the faster they emulsify and "dissolve". You may have to warm your cold coffee (or microwave it) before adding the coffeemate.

its obvious, its called coffeemate- its made for coffee... the hot stuff. it consists mostly of chemicals and non food ingredients, why not just use good old fashioned milk? at least it will "dissolve" in cold coffee

No clue. I had that happened too....I usually get International Delight flavors...now I know why....hmm

It's not all that mind boggling. Coffee-Mate is made of powdered milk and animal fat. The fat in Coffee-Mate (the secret ingredient that makes it taste so good) will not dissolve in cold liquid. It requires heat to dissolve the fats.

There ya go.

It will if you stir it long enough.

The mate requires heat for it to dissolve.

Coffee Mate is a synthetic product, and with synthetic products, they do require some heat to dissolve completly.

B/c it's mostly fat, and heat melts fat. W/o heat, the fat just floats.

Yum. Yum. Now drink up!
