Does adding milk to green tea take away vitamins???!

Question:

Does adding milk to green tea take away vitamins???

my b/f said it takes away from the vitamins. Is this true???

Answers:
No it actually adds vitamins D, A, E, some C and Whey, and may actually boost the thermogenic ability of the ECG in the green tea by adding calcium.

Nope it adds calcium. Now if you are lactose intolerent the milk will upset your stomach

No, but it does dilute the amount of benefit you'll receive in the first place.

NO just adds Calcium.....

nope

not at all

Yes. I heard that it's not the best thing to do.

No, there is no oxidation or any chemical reaction between milk fat cells and green tea vitamins. You in fact would get more protein this way.

yes it was on the Today Show last week, supposedley if you add milk to green tea then it takes away from the benfits of it

What vitamins? The ones in green tea? I can't imagine that green tea is a viable source of vitamins... AND I can't imagine why adding milk would affect it...What WOULD affect it would be drinking it on an empty stomach. Vitamins without food are worthless because we need enzymes, which are only synthesized when food is present in the digestive tract. I suggest you go get a book about nutrition and you and your boyfriend read it together.

nope i am a pharmacist and i know for sure. but it tastes bad right!

I would haveto say no. why would you think that?
