probably cos your more real than most city people and this makes them a little unsure within themselves so to counteract that they put you down...makes themselves feel better! why do people feel the need to comply to fashions and whatever is in so much...especially in the city...its because they are insecure inside...its because they want to be cool...they want to fit in....if you are a bit different then that makes them subconsiously question themselves...most people dont want to do this so they put it on you before they can even think about whats going on inside thier minds.
just remember "there is nothing enlightened about shrinking back so others dont feel insecure around you" ...be exactly who you are and it will attract like minded and real people to you...if someone is nasty to you it saves you time and energy of putting time into them...you can move on knowing they are not worthy of your time or energy and let nice people be in your life!

There are much worse things than being a country girl. For what it's worth, I'll take a down to earth country girl over a vain high maintenance urban moron any day.
There are people who believe that people in the city are educated and people in the country are not. Don't mind those people. They are not worth it.

It's just a way for the people who are picking on you to feel better about themselves. When they pick on you just say,"yep, I am a country girl an proud of it." Don't let it bother you. I am a country guy and I have experienced the same thing. Just be proud of who you are and where you came from.
one of the reasons you get picked on is because your different you changed their society trough their eyes if i were you i wouldent let it bother me
hey at least you know where most food comes from (farm fields) and milk (cows and goats..but idk anyone that drinks goat milk!)
i am sure there are city slickers(aka people that live in urban areas!) that think food just comes out of know where and ends up in the grocery stores

Maybe because sometimes people in the city say things like that because some people say that because they think they are the best. But most of the city people are very nice and not like that so dont let it bother you and 2 more things
1 they are probably jealous of you for some reason

Well, as long as you dress okay, there should be nothing else for them to pick on you for, so they choose the country factor. Oh, I guess for them you have to be a city girl to fit in. It's just something weren't used too. I would just keep your head up and be proud about it. I mean, I love the country. I keep a horse at a stable because my dad and mom won't let me live in the country. But, I do love fashion and city life too. I guess it just depends. Well, I am sure it will blow over, they just need to get the fact that it doesn't bother you.
