I find the water tastes very cold even when the water is only tepid.
its to do with the increase in elastase in the water. elastase is the part of water which gives it its water tension. in mints a chemical increases the effinity of elastase so the water becomes more hydrophobically orientated. this is because of the phospholipids in it.
this does not apply if you drink bottled or treated water though because these have been treated with vitamin d. this causes it to be hydrophilic rather than hydrophobic.
