What is the best way to memorize?!

Question:

What is the best way to memorize?

It should last long, and never able to forget it

Answers:
I like flash cards myself, because you can go over and over something so often it becomes just a part of you, never to be forgotten. Carry the cards with you, and leaf through them whenever you have the spare moment.

I got As in Latin in college with this technique. Actually, the tragedy is I did not believe in myself and took the course pass/fail every semester. And every semester my professor gave me an A, and then the records office dutifully changed it to a Pass. And the next semester, I'd get cold feet again and elect pass/fail.

I was pretty dumb when I was in college.

Hit yourself HARD in your privates, Then you'll remember that forever...!!!!

Make notes and imagine it to something in your mind. eg. if you have to study something on a man named Jack , imagine him on a beanstack ( Jack & the Bean stack) put that memory in a compatrment say a room in your brain..
When you have to recall Jack. go to that room and it would come back to you clearly. Similarly when you memorise anything tuck it away in a room ( you have to evision a room with many compartments)

ummmmmmmm I forgot

Association, i.e., you are in a garage and need to remember the floor and location, which is 5 E. 5 year old Ethel or 5 o'clock Eastern Standard time and so on.

Make a sentence. For example, are you trying to learn the eight planets and their order from the sun? Think: My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nachos to remember Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

Break up your material into smaller parts. For example, if you are trying to remember a list, just remember the first 1/3 one day, second 1/3 on the second day and so forth.

You can record yourself and then listen to it over and over, like in the car, and when your just sitting around.

read,re-read,reread
