How long is milk actually usable after sell by date?!

Question:

How long is milk actually usable after sell by date?

Answers:
It depends on how cold your fridge is, and if you let your milk sit outside of the fridge between usings. I usually keep my fridge cold, and put milk away right after using it, and I get 2 weeks after.

It depends on when you actually opened it and how long its been sitting there but on average I think it can go a good 4 days or so.

i drink alot of milk after one week it goes bad.

usually milk as a "use by" rather than "sell by" date, and it shouldn't be used after that date.. in summer i have known milk to go off 2 days before that date, so i tend to sniff it before using it as a precaution, regardless of the date

I never drink it after the sell date.

do the smell test

i've actually had milk go bad several days before the expiration date.

i've also had milk last a week after the exp. date.

just smell it before you pour it. you'll know. if it smells pungent, sweet, sour, its bad.

Until it smells bad. The "sell by" date is just there to protect the distributor. Products do not just go bad instantly on the sell by date.

until it smells bad,,,

Depends on if it's been opened and how cold it's kept ! A week after at least unless you let it get warm !! If it doesn't taste sour it's OK !!

2 to 5 days

Um, they put a date on it for a reason. Sell by date or use by date? If it's the use by date, throw it out at once! Many bad things have grown in that milk and will make you sick!
