How long do you steep white tea?!
How long do you steep white tea?
It's Silver Needle. I've seen everything from 3 minutes to 15 minutes, with temperatures ranging from 140 to 180 degrees. Any tea connoisseurs out there know the right way? I am drinking this as a health boost, not for flavor. White tea hardly has any flavor. Especially for a coffee drinker like me.
Maybe the longer you steep it the more benefits you get? Or does steeping too long make the "volitile oils" go out with the steam?

I'm not terribly concerned with flavor. I just don't want to destory antioxidants or any other benefit I might receive from the tea. I'll drink it whether it's flavorless or really bitter! ;-)

brew it around 75-85 degree. steep around 1-2 minutes will do. it will taste bitter if brew too long, it has a very mild flavour.
it is very good for your health

It does not have much flavor. Try mixing it with another tea, like earl grey. Perhaps you will get more flavor steeping it for 20 minutes.
aslong as u want

I prefer 5 or 6 minutes. Yes, steeping it too long will make it bitter. Keep trying different things until you discover what you like best.
white tea is very fragil . do not steep white tea more than 2 minutes. the result will be very bitter tea :)
