Probably because iced tea quenches your thirst.. you can drink it fast, unlike hot tea. Hot tea is great when you're sick or in a chair reading, but when you're dying of thirst, the last thing you want is something hot.

It is if you make it right. Try hot tea with creamer and suger (kinda like coffee). Its wonderful!
It depends what time of year it is for me. I love hot tea in the winter when I'm just at home doing stuff on the computer. I take Lipton Iced Tea with me to work constantly.
Well that all depends on where you live. I think most Northerners will agree that hot tea is better And Southerners prefer iced tea. It's all what you grow up with. Maybe if we drank both all the time, we would change our minds. I know I don't like iced tea, it just doesn't taste right if it's not hot.
Some teas are better served cold. But teas like green tea is better when it's hot. I think the fruity flavors teas (apple, lemon, lychee, etc.) are good for ice tea.
Try Japanese rice green tea. It's very good to drink during the winter season :)
That's a matter of opinion, and can vary by what tea you're drinking. I like them both, but I find I can drink more kinds of tea hot than cold. Green tea is great either way, peppermint is better hot, etc.

i like hot tea especially black tea + rose + milk. absolutely delicious!!!! else i will just hot black tea + milk. i only like iced green tea or oolong tea or bubble tea.

warm tea is actually better for u than iced tea less sugar .and hot tea can help with cold viruses flus and any kind of baterial infections due to colds flus etc can help a person wind down and relax and sleep in some cases

It is strictly a matter of opinion . Personally I enjoy both . The flavored hot teas are very soothing .
Actually I think all hot teas taste far better than cold teas.. excepting in the extreme hot weather then any cold drink is refreshing even a bad tasting one such as Royal Cola!

It could depend on the quality of the tea leaves. A good strong cup with lemon and sugar is still my very fav. Milk and sugar are a strong second with a lipton's tea bag. But ice tea is a completely different beverage from hot tea. And awfully nice too.
I think it is a matter of preference. Whatever one you like best is the one you should drink. Some people like it hot and some like it iced.
