How do you make espresso without an espresso machine?!

Question:

How do you make espresso without an espresso machine?

I mean with one of those pots that work on the stove. Or is there another way to make it?

Answers:
Everybody step back and let the CUBAN answer (of course other cultures have as good if not better claim to the knowledge - but expresso coffee (or cafecito) is our BLOOD).
Ok, yea - you gotta get one of those pots. (see link below). And, you have to by "expresso" coffee - you can't make it with Maxwell House. Try "Bustelo" or "Pilon" brands if they have them in your hood. The pot will come with instructions, but basically you put water in the bottom (up to the line where the little valve is), then there is a second piece that looks like a cup with a little pole in the bottom that you PACK PACK PACK TIGHT with the coffee. Then you lock it up and set it to boil. AFter it perculates, remove from heat, sweeten (which is an art in itself) and enjoy.

EDIT - Added image showing "valve" on the bottom part of the "cafetera" - the valve is the water line level marker when filling bottom half with water. Fill the water "up to" the bottom part of the valve and never over or onto the valve.
