Starbucks coffee education?!
Starbucks coffee education?
So I am 27 years old and just started drinking coffee regularly about 4 or 5 months ago. I usually just brew my own at home and lately (out of sheer laziness and convenience) have been visiting one of the many many local Stabucks. I usually get just a regular coffee, but I am interested in getting something more fancy. I don’t care to drink a cup of sugar so I can do without all the sweet stuff, but what’s a really good cup of joe? Something other than regular coffee, any suggestions?

I'm partial to the iced Mocha....just a chocolate flavored thing that isn't hot....
however, drinking several Starbucks makes my tummy hurt (and that's saying something cause I normally drink 20-30 cups of Folgers a day, but 6 Starbucks cups tear me up).
capachinofrapaloopai.
I personally prefer the plain latte, and sometimes get a squirt of vanilla or hazelnut just to mix it up.
u can have a cappacino or a white hot chocolate from dunkin donuts
my personal favorite is the white chocolate mocha, but it is pretty sweet. Try a plain mocha, a nice dark chocolately taste w/o being overloaded w/sugar - you can even ask for less mocha flavoring if you like. My husband always gets the carmel macchiato - just enough sweetness to cover the straight taste of espresso.
You would probably like a latte - it's just espresso, steamed milk, and some foam.
cappuccino is an excellent beverage, and the real thing is not sweetened. ditto on cafe latte. however, if you are not a cream drinker, how about an espresso? definitely not a "regular coffee."
however, why don't you get yourself a grinder, and make coffee at home? it is soooo much less expensive, and frankly, Starbucks just isn't all that. you could even try setting up your coffee maker the night before & just flipping it on before you get in the shower - then you have coffe at the ready. or, invest in a coffee machine that has an automatic setting so you can have it brew a pot of coffee for you to be ready when you step out of bed. even if you buy the most expensive one on the market, you will still save over what you'll spend on cappucinos each morning for a year at Starbucks... just a thought.
A cappuccino is a nice change from regular coffee and isn't sweet. A macchiatto is also a nice change from the norm.
I myself drink americanos...slightly stronger than a regular cup of Joe.
well if you are lactose intolerant. starbucks does offer there hot or iced beverages in soy milk. =) I have been workign with starbucks for almost a year and a half. so you can always order soy lattes(espresso and steamed soy), soy caramel macchiatos. (vanilla syrup, espresso, steamed soy, and a nice caramel drizzel topping) this is one of the morem peopluar drinks i get alot of orders for. white mochas are sweet. you can alwso always order a mocha and ask them to put no whipped cream on it.. but there are mane many drinks out there. as for blended cold drinks (frappachinos) you can always order a tangerine frap juice blend (tangerine-lime juice and passion tea) (this is decaf its liek a slushy or iccee) or pomegrante frap juice blends (pomegrante juice and green tea. so this beverage is caffinated somewhat) this one is more bitter and sweet. while the tangerin is very sweet. both are delicious. you can always order hot teas as well. there are many varities of black, green, and herbal teas.
I like espresso with a bit of added water (stronger than Americano)
Go in your local Jewel or Dominicks. They have all sorts of flavored coffee.
