How do I cure this post-caffeine slump?
Maybe I've drank too much caffeine for the say, but I feel in fog to start my work. Any suggestions?

Why starch? Doesn't caffeine cause a raise in insulin and then the dropping of insulin is the reason for the crash?

Try some natural sugars like fresh fruit or fruit drinks. They'll make you more alert without having to go through another crash later.
Of course this wouldn't happen if you didn't have a caffeine addiction! Good luck.

best advice is to eat something starchy along with you coffee,like sandwiches etc.if you are in a slump then try eating something starchy and slowly eating some thing sugary for the next 20 mins,should work
Eat a bananna. It will raise your blood sugar just a bit, take a long time to digest so you will keep up a good level of energy and it has lots of good nutrition!
