Why are soda bottled in liters instead of gallons?!

Question:

Why are soda bottled in liters instead of gallons?

Answers:
To prevent them from going flat to quickly. Once you open them..that's the kiss of death for the fizz.

Very few countries outside the U.S. use gallans as a measurement anymore.

All part of the global economy.

Most everyone else is on the Metric system of measure in the world so for export or simplicity to travellers unfamilar with the English system of measure of ounces, liters and milliliters etc. are the standard. On a lot of things both measures are listed but usually the metric one is first, if its an internationl product.

its called the metric system!!!
its better
a litre

I think it's because it might be easy to tell(for Canadians).
