Why does it take orange juice take 2 hours to freeze?!

Question:

Why does it take orange juice take 2 hours to freeze?

oj freezes in 2 hours why does it take 2 hours?

Answers:
probably the acidity and the osmolarity of the solution (it has more disolved particles in it)...ie salt makes ice freeze at a lower temperature (why you use salt on your walks in winter)...so the pulp and natural sugars in OJ lower the freezing point and it has to get to a lower temp than plain water before it will freeze.

because, cats have preformed zet witchcraft, and small **** asians can fly when the come in contact with a live JEDI

the pulp

Acids.

because it contains sugar. the higher the sugar content the longer it takes to freeze. if sugar content is high enough it will never totally freeze.

the presence of particles other than water reduces the freezing time of the liquid.

IT NEED'NT TAKE 2 HOURS..JUST TURN THE REGULATOR DOWN.

Because of the sugar.

put 1 ounce of OJ in a bowl put in the freezer and see if it takes 2 hours

heat is lost in the juice by a diffusion process, and that is how long it takes for the juice to go from room temperature to the frozen state
