Can drinking too much coffee damage the skin?!

Question:

Can drinking too much coffee damage the skin?

Answers:
Coffee is a natural diuretic. Meaning, it will make you want to pee. The more coffee you consume, the more liquid your body will want to get rid of. So if you do not do anything to replenish liquids lost, you can get dehydrated.

If you frequently get dehydrated then this can affect your skin in several ways. It can contribute to wrinkles, cracks and chaffing and dry patches.

If you do not address the dryness then this can damage the skin, especially in places where cracking of the skin occurs.

If you drink a lot of coffee, just make sure you are properly hydrated and use a good moisturizer on your skin. Don't forget to regularly exfoliate! :)

It may damage this skin, considering caffine can dehydrate you. But other than that I think it just changes the pH of your body, and may make your sweat more yellow, staining socks and undershirts that you may wear.

Well caffeine is dehydrating, so it could. You're supposed to drink the same amount of water that you do coffee,as in 12 oz. coffee, then add 12 oz. water to the required 64 oz. a day.

i would assume so, too much of a good thing can be bad, but i also know that some anti aging skin creams do have caffeine in them. i don't; however, know how the effects of taking it internally differ from putting it directly on the skin.
