How long will coffee beans last?
I've got a bag of jamican blue coffee that I totally forgot about. The bag has never been opened and they are whole beans. The bag of coffee was pretty pricey, I'm just wondering how long coffee beans will stay good in a sealed plastic bag??

If it is an airtight bag, I'd say indefinitely. Just don't put them in the fridge or freezer because that will alter their moisture content and ruin them! Once you open them I would try to use them within a month.

They'll last a looooong time in the freezer
they should still be good. but don't put them in the freezer! my sister owns a starbucks and says they get stale and bitter if you freeze the beans. keep them in an airtight container away from light
If they are in a sealed bag, they should still be good. I store mine in the freezer and I have used them for up to a year.
whole bean coffee goes stale quickly. it's extremely votile to the environment. make sure you store your beans in a air-tight container, not the freezer (it harms the bean) or refrigerator! the reason is because coffee picks up the flavors that it is around, especially when ground. * mmm, mustard and beet flavored coffee!* the peak for coffee freshness is 2 weeks. It's still "ok" 4-6 weeks. after that, uck!
Coffee, if it has been roasted can last quite a while.
I would make a pot and see how it tastes. If it is bad, add it to your potted plants soil. If it's good, keep it.
On the bag it usually says a week or two, but they want you to buy a lot of coffee. I say three weeks in an air tight container in a dry, cool place.

Here's my info:
If it is a year old - even under the best circumstances - throw it away! When it comes to coffee - edible does not necessarily mean good enough!
If sealed, whole beans can be left in 'room temperature' for a few days, I reckon.
If refrigerated, they'll live long enough 'till you use them up. One kilogram should last you a month or two
If ground up, coffee tastes/ smells best for two days. If you grind, grind enough for two days, then chill it!
You can tell whether coffee beans are still 'tasty' or not. They should have a 'roasted' aroma. Nothing sour or flat.
