Why do some bottles of water say "do not refill"?!

Question:

Why do some bottles of water say "do not refill"?

You know, just a regular bottle of water from the store. I have one sitting next to me that i have refilled maybe 5 times. Why dont they want us to refill it, will we get plastic poisoning?

Answers:
Its not always sanitary to re-fill bottles as they can carry gunk you really don't want to know about ~ the same goes for the lid too....

But, on the other hand.......We all drank for the hose in the summer when we were kids & non of us died from it!!!!

It could just be the Good Ole "CYA"

You know like the coffee cup at McDonalds states that it contains HOT COFFEE & YOU COULD GET BURNED!!!!

They make more money if you don't refill it and keep buying more water bottles.

they would rather u buy more of there product

You should just clean things and keep them sanitary.

For hygenic reasons mainly

I use a couple of very ancient plastic water bottles (which I wash regularly, of course) beside my bed at night for water (my cats will drink out of glasses of water if they're sitting there - yuck!). So far as I can tell, it's just another container.

Because of bactiria from your mouth gets into the bottle and makes for gettng sick.

Bad Chemicals Get In When You Refill
