Quebec and Coke II?!

Question:

Quebec and Coke II?

Does anyone in French-speaking Quebec know if Coke II is still around? For those who don't know, Coke II was the re-named New Coke. It's not in the States anymore but I read it's in Quebec and Samoa.

Help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Answers:
Coke II has been discontinued for a few years now. The last bottler and distributor of Coke II was Coca-Cola Beverage Company (Micronesia), Inc based in Saipan. They had Coke II listed on their product list until early 2000s. If you check their website now - it's no longer there.

The only place you will find Coke II now are on eBay - where from time to time, you will see full unopened cans available. The last of the Coke II cans in the US were produced by bottling plants in the Midwest until the mid-late 1990s.

Coke II was the rebranded "New Coke" from 1985. The brand was launched in 1992.

When I was in Montreal, 4 months ago, I was in 3 supermarkets, downtown, Laval and Mount Royal, did not see it, most of the Coca Cola is shipped from Ontario.

We do not have it here and I have not seen it in, 15 years, I am almost 50 and was a former chef, and lived in 6 provinces over my career, I did try it when it came out just like the clear Pepsi.

I am afraid if a collector does not have an old can or bottle, it gone like disco and bell bottoms??

I remember it, it tasted like Pepsi
