Is sparkling water good for you?!

Question:

Is sparkling water good for you?

My mom is drinking a lot of perrier these days because she's working out a lot, but I was wondering that it was worse if you drank sparkling water than normal water?

Answers:
It's just water with carbon dioxide in it to give fizz. Check the label, sometimes they add sodium.

Nothing wrong with it at all... just water with fizz.. and some sparkling waters have some fruit flavoring to them just so that you have some variety.. but all in all, very good to drink...

like the person said above it's just water with carbination, just as good for you as water. . .meaning great!!

I believe that normal water is the best, I think that if Sparkling water was what we really needed God would have made all water that way, but since He did not, I go with what He made and drink plenty of it.

Actually as far as calories are concerned its fine but it does contain Carbonic Acid to stabilize the "fizz" which promotes tooth decay. The plaque on your teeth feed off food remnants on your teeth and their waste product is Acid, they love sugar the most (although this doesn't have sugar) acid decays. So in my opinion normal water is ideal.

NO, sparkling water is not as good for you as normal water. the acid is bad for your gums and teeth over the long run.

normal water nowadays is not very healthy either--chlorine, metals/toxins, dust particles, etc. filtered water is the healthiest, especially if you can get those that filter and split the water into acidic and alkaline (we're supposed to be drinking alkaline water and our skin is supposed to be washed with acidic water) :D

No, it's just sugar and water mixed together, and sugars not good for you. They should just rename sparkling water to sugar water.
