it is when u down the entire drink without a stopping or even a breath half the time....a traditional shotgun is when u pop a hole in the side of a can and go atter
a shotgun is when you shake a can of beer, punch a hole in the side of the can and crush it while chugging the whole thing most likely spilling most of it on yourself. same goes for energy drinks for non drinkers..
Shotgunning is shaking a beer, punching a small hole in the side and drinking it straight down. Problem with using an energy drink is that they are usually more highly carbonated than beer. It makes it really hard to drink because it wants to fizz everywhere. And all that carbonation rushing in your mouth is hard to swallow straight down. But have fun trying!
It is the same as shot gunning a beer. You puncture the can near the bottom and then flip the tab on top and down the drink as quickly as possible. I haven't heard of anyone shooting an energy drink.
