The school principal keep sending notes, that kids should use washed milk bags for their lunch, and I do not think that is safe.

I wouldn't want to do it. Washing out plastic bags is always iffy in my books.
Better to buy your kids a reusable cloth bag for their lunches.

I wouldn't put unwrapped food in it, like a sandwich in there. Who knows where that bag has been. Yick. You could put fruits in there if you plan on washing them before eating.

i think that you should send a note back to the principal and tell him that you are paying for the things that you children bring to school to eat from and not him so you will send them in what ever you feel is appropriate for them to bring

I WOULDNT. And just ignore the principal its not like hes your dad and can actuallly tell u what to do
some people do, i think it is unsanitary but it was proven to be completly healthy if you rince it first.
I would like to know if the principal follows the same "rule". I think its not sanitary, and I hope he has proof to prove it otherwise.
I saw do your homework (no pun intended!!) and you can make this an issue that can get media attention.
