Which country produces best tea & coffee ?!

Question:

Which country produces best tea & coffee ?

Answers:
Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is one of the more sought-after varieties in the world. Uganda also produces some good coffee, as does Ethiopia, Yemen, and Indonesia (Sumatra). The best tea I've ever had was from Taiwan. Indian, Sri Lanka, and China also produce many fine teas. I think "best" doesn't really mean anything when it comes to this topic - like wine, when you get beyond a certain threshold, you're talking about a matter of taste.

Jamaica for coffee. Not sure about tea.

Sri Lanka and Brazil.

I`ll go with Sri Lanka on the tea...used to be Ceylon.

Depending on your tastes, China produce a lighter tasting tea than India who produce for example Assam which is strong and Darjeeling, so it's a matter of taste. Again i think Colombia produce the best coffee overall although I like Blue Mountain which I believe is from Jamaica.

Tea would be Ceylon and India
Coffee would be Jamaica

I agree with Mikey, Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee and Sri Lanka formerly Ceylon for tea.

tea:kania coffee:brazil

Jamaica, Brazil, Colombia, Yemen, for coffee .
Sri Lanca, China, India, Kenya, for tea .
these countries are not in order .

Tea-Japan
Coffee-Italy

tea- India
coffee- Ethiopia

(blue mountain is over-rated-my opinion)

*Rwanda is really starting to excel in coffee production- give them a year.

Colombia - has long been the favorite, but Brazil is now the world's top producer of coffee. Coffee beans originated in Africa where the biggest producer is Cote d'Ivoire.

China - has perhaps the longest history for tea, but for Europeans (and Americans) teas from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and India are favored. China is about to overtake India as the top tea exporter in the world. China also has the widest variety of tea and has heavily influenced other tea producers in East Asia including Japan.
