How do you make a perfect glass of Ice Tea?!

Question:

How do you make a perfect glass of Ice Tea?

I love Ice Tea.....plus the caffeine helps keep me going this time of day. I use Tea Bag and usually just boil them in some water. Add water and then pour it over a glass full of ice. Can't do lemon, as it gives me bad heartburn. What is the best ration between Large Tea Bags and boiling water? Any better (tastier) ideas. I don't own a coffee pot.

Answers:
add a couple of cups of sugar in there to sweeten it up a little, go a little easy on it until you get a satisfying taste.

put 12 bags in a gallion milk container with 2 cups of sugar and set that out in the hot sun for a dy and try it

I use 4 large tea bags (the family size) to 2 quarts of boiling water. Let the tea steep for 10 minutes or so. Let it steep longer if you want a stronger taste. Don't ever boil the water with the tea bags in it, it will cause the tea to taste bitter.

You could also try the flavoured teas. My current favourite is Jasmine, which taste like flowers. You could add one or two of htese small flauvored tea bags to you usual mix for a delightful difference.

I make my sweet tea in a gallon pitcher first put three cups of water in pot bring to a boil place four family size Tetley brand tea bags in the boiling water remove from heat source let sit for about 5 minutes mix two cups of sugar in a gallon pitcher with warm to hot water about three cups of water stirring until sugar is melted then pour brewed tea into the [pitcher with sugar water add more water to the tea bags in the pot and press with a spoon or other spoon like object until you have filled your tea pitcher toss the tea bags out and place tea in fridge until well chilled serve over ice( if the lemon gives you heart burn try maybe lime it is a nice twist from lemon)

I boil a pot of water and put 10-12 lipton tea bags in. I let it steep for about 20 minutes off the heat and sweeten with about 2 cups sugar. Let that melt and pour into container. I also finish it off with a little honey and if I have any on hand I put a few mint leaves in the steeping tea as well. Then I just finish off with water and let cool. Pour over some ice cubes in a nice tall glass and you've got a perfect glass of ice tea!

McDonalds has great tasting sweet tea on sale right now. 32 oz. cup for $1.00.

I put four family sized Tetley or Lipton tea bags in a gallon jug of water and let it sit on the counter until it reaches the color I desire, I prefer my tea a little on the strong side so I usually let it sit for around an hour. Sometimes I add a little sweetner and sometimes I just drink it plain. You can always add something like Crystal Light Raspberry ice drink mix for a little extra kick if you like raspberry flavor. I sometimes add their lemondade and I don't have the heartburn problem. Good luck!

I learned how to make good iced tea when I lived in Ky. for a while.

5 tea bags per pitcher
Fill a small pot half-way with water. Let it come to a boil. Put tea bags in water while it is still boiling. This is important so it can get a little stronger (just a few seconds)
Take off burner and put a lid on it (this is important)! Let it steep for a least 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, fill pitcher (glass is preferred-does not retain stale tea smell) halfway with water.
Fill up pitcher with steeped tea. If you are going to sweeten with sugar, now is the time. (1-2 cups per pitcher. Adjust to your taste). My husband and I like it without sugar now that we have gotten older even though we are from the south. Juat think of all the antioxidants in tea. By the way, we always use Lipton Tea. We think it is the best. No, none of us work for Lipton. We just like it. Hope you like this recipe.

I only use LUZIANNE tea, it has the best flavor and like they say, it is specially blended for iced tea.
Here is what I do:
Boil 1 quart of water. Remove from heat and add 6 regular tea bags. Let it rest for at least 5 minutes, depending on the strength you like (I like mine very mild). Pour tea into a 2 quart pitcher and press the tea bags to squeeze out the rest of the flavor into the pitcher. I add 1/2 cup of sugar but you can add more or less depending on the sweetness you like. Stir to dissolve sugar and add enough cold water to make 2 quarts. Pour over a tall glass of ice! Yummmy!

take a gal jug put a
couple gallon tea bags into it,
your favorite flavored tea bag
throw some mint leaves,
put lemon peel only,
a fresh sage leaf or two
boil a quart or two of water pour into the jug don't boil the tea it causes the caffeine to break down making it bitter
after it cools take the stuff outta it then fill with hot water
