Green Tea Frappe'??!
Green Tea Frappe'??
Does anyone know a recipe for a Green tea Frappe' at Starbucks???
I heard you need the Starbucks Syrup?
BUT i hear that TORANI and MONIN Syrups could be used as a substitue??

This is a recipe my friend created to try and copy the Green Tea Frappe:
1.) Mix 1/2 tsp green tea powder in 2 ounces of hot water in a bowl. Stir with a whisk until completely dissolved.
2.) Stir in 3 teaspoons of sugar or sugar substitute (can adjust to taste).
3.) Add in 4 ounces of milk and stir.
4.) (Optional) Add 1 teaspoon of melon syrup, such as Torani or DaVinci brands. (I've also heard substituting vanilla for the melon tastes quite good).
5.) Add ice cubes and blend in a blender until smooth.
Enjoy!
6.) Note: You could also drink this as a Green Tea Iced Latte by just pouring the mixture over ice instead of blending.
She insists that it tastes about as good as Starbucks. Also she uses premium matcha green tea powder instead of regular old green tea.

Well, use one of those green tea syrups and some ice cream, blend with ice, top with whipped cream.
I work at Starbucks.
I can tell you exactly how to make it.
The amounts vary according to size so I'll use Grande as an example..
about 3/4 a cup of creambase frapp mix (nonfat milk mixed with "frapp powdered creambase")
4 scoops "macha powder" (basically just dried green tea powder)
4 pumps melon syrup (<--that's the secret, it makes it sweet)
3/4 cup ice.
I agree with siebki...i have used that recipe before and it taste as good if not better than starbucks.
