Where do I find the natual oils to flavor my own water at home?!

Question:

Where do I find the natual oils to flavor my own water at home?

Where can I possibly find the natural flavorings that people use at home to flavor water? I think it is called essential oils.

Answers:
You are probably thinking of extracts. Which are widely available in the baking section of supermarkets. Popular flavors include vanilla, strawberry and mint.
But, they contain mostly Alcohol and artificial flavoring.
Just make your own flavored water, I do every day. I try to drink a ton of water, but I get tired of the bland taste. So, in my blender I put 3 or 4 strawberries, a bunch of fresh mint, ice and water.
Or do the same with ice and a couple of chunks of melon, watermelon, orange or any fruit.
I would reccommend making a big batch and storing in a pitcher in the fridge.
If you are worried about calories, it is minimal, since you really only use enough fruit to lightly flavor the water.

I wouldn't recommend putting essential oils in your water unless you like to be sick and poison yourself. They are not meant for human consumption. I make bath and body stuff with them.

You can use extracts like for baking and cooking to flavor water. Lorann oils could be used. You can find the link here
