Why are Coke and Pepsi allowed to use eachothers brands in their commercials?!

Question:

Why are Coke and Pepsi allowed to use eachothers brands in their commercials?

As Far as I know Company A cant use Company B's logo in Company A's advertisement. But Coke and Pepsi do it all the time. Maybe I am wrong but please tell me how it works

Answers:
It comes under 'fair use' in the copyright act and is permitted for purposes such as criticism, review, news reporting, etc.

Because by have the authority to do so and bot companies have been given permission to do so.

Technically they're not but since they both do it they don't go after each other too often. It would be up to one to pursue the other, it's not like they are breaking any laws. But if Coke says in a survey we were preferred over Pepsi, you can bet your bottom dollar that the Coke lawyers have made sure that Coke can back up that claim if challenged.

I didnt notice i need to pay more attention
