Caffeine soap?!
Caffeine soap?
Does anyone know where I can buy or order caffeine soap and shower gel from, which is shown on www.thinkgeek.com? I din't want to order from USA as don't want to import.
Answers:
Apparently, the product is manufactured by ThinkGeek, which is located in Virginia, United States, so there is no way to buy it outside of the US without it being "imported."
If you have a favorite shoppe that would order it in (import) for you, you could always go that route, but I'd expect to pay roughly the amount that it would've cost you to buy directly from ThinkGeek, plus shipping, plus a bit more.
You could try to buy some anhydrous caffeine powder and add it to some soap (try melt and pour, or make your own cold process soap, not a trivial process, but very rewarding, I've found), or add it to your favorite shower gel. Try a local chemist (pharmacy) to see if it's available to buy locally, or you could probably search for an online source.
Link to a recipe for soapmaking follows. All measures are by weight, in ounces (US). Fats, water and lye get combined at certain temperatures, stirred (by hand or blender), add scents/colors/additional ingredients, then mold. If you know someone who makes and sells soaps or shower gels, you might ask that person if they can add some caffeine to their product for you. Looks like there's 2400mg of caffeine in each bar of soap.
