How long does it take water to freeze? especially when in an icecube tray...?!

Question:

How long does it take water to freeze? especially when in an icecube tray...?

Thanks!!

Answers:
It depends upon 3 factors...

1) The temp the water STARTS at...water at 35 degrees already, freezes faster than water at 50 degrees.
2) The volume of the ice cubes...smaller cubes freeze faster than bigger ones.
3) The temperature of the freezer...you can freeze water slowly, if it's at 25 degrees, but water will freeze much faster if you use a cooler full of dry ice (-40 degrees) to freeze the water.

About 3 hours

That would really depend on the surrounding air temperature. If that ice cube tray is sitting out in the arizona heat it would evaporate before it freezes.. Even inside freezers, you can set the temperature to different levels which will affect the rate of freezing.

it depends on how cold your freezer is but it should take about two or three days
