Question:

If my food defrosts from the freezer, is it cancerous if I Freze it again?

So if I defrost some food, and then put it back in the freezer, and then defrost it again before eating it, is that cancerous?

It's not cancerious.... and it all depends on what the food is... but generally.. if you thaw out anything I would not recomend re-freezing it again... especially meat

Not cancerous, but there is a real possibility that you could get food poisoning, especially if it's meat.

No, it is not cancerous, but it probably won't taste as good because it forms more ice crystals when refrozen, which breaks apart cells. It may be spoiled, depending on how long it was thawed and what temperature it got to.

No you can't get cancer from food.... but becareful thawing and refreezing it can go bad qucker.

some people already are saying yes it is and others saying it isnt.
They are both correct. It depends on your trying to freeze.

Water in the plastic bottles for instance, they can be bought in is very dangerous to freeze just once. The chemicals in the bottle blastic goes into the water and when it defrosts the water is polluted. Even if you wash it, it doesnt work if it is then freezes.

Gravy for instance, can be de-frosted and frozen again as much as you like

It's hard to tell you if your food is cancerous because you havent told us what type of food your talking about.

no but it will be full of bacteria and will give you a nasty bought of food poisoning- I wouldn't reconmend it at all !!!!

No it's not carcinogenic, but you are very likely to get a nasty bout of food poisoning if you do that!

It has been shown that as long as the food is defrosted in the fridge, and not at room temp, both times, then it is fine to eat. Whatever it is.

p.s even, if its not it wont give ya cancer but you could get nasty food poisoning and actually die from it!

I am not sure about it being cancerous but you should never freeze food once it has een defrosted, it can make you ill

I don't think that the food would be cancerous but you shouldn't re-freeze food that has already been defrosted

its not cancerous but have u heard the term food poisoning? that is one of the ways u can get it this is why packages tell you not to re-freeze

Never refreeze any thing that has thawed out, but if you cook it then you can freeze it again. there is a saying among chefs if in doubt through it out never take that chance

dunno about cancerous but you could get salmonella?

It is not cancerous but its quality will be impaired. So it will not taste as good

i alwasy do it, and me my fella and 5 year old stepson are all fine! its the same with out of date on things, nothing had sell by dates til recently, its just to make more money, however i wouldnt eat out of date meat or refreeze it!
