How do you make a great tasting shirley temple?!

Question:

How do you make a great tasting shirley temple?

At home I use cherry grenadine, sprite and orange juice but it doesn't taste as good as the ones you get at restaurants, how can I make it better?

Answers:
I always just used Sprite, Grenadine, and LOTS of maraschino cherries. I just searched though, and found one that used Ginger ale instead of Sprtie. Maybe try that.

A proper Shirley Temple is made with four parts ginger ale to one part cherry grenadine.

Build in a highball glass. Add ginger ale over ice and sprinkle grenadine syrup over it. Garnish with a lemon slice and a cherry. You can use 7up too

No listen to me- In restaurants they are pouring the cherry juice into the sprite. It taste much better that way and that is what you are wanting that you are not getting from the grenadine. Try sprite, squeeze of lime, cherry juice to taste, cherries! You will love it-

Okay correct way to make them is the ginger ale, orange juice, & grenadine syrup but ... most places do not put in the orange juice and instead of ginger ale use 7 up can use either grenadine very little or cherry juice instead.
