SURE try RustAway at any hardware store : )

you can buy rust remover at your local auto store ,works really well.

Naval jelly.

Of the two you mention, Coke is more acidic.

There is a product available in most sporting goods departments for removing bluing and rust from firearms. It works great for removing rust from tools. Get the gun refinish kit consisting of blue remover and blueing. After removing the rust from your tools, you can refinish them so they don't rust again.

Sandflex block made by Klingspor. These blocks are basically abrasive rubber pads that scratch away the rust. If the rust is minimal this is a very quick and effective method.
I got the info from the link below.

Vinegar. Iron acetate is soluble. Another thing that is better than Coca-Cola is plain soda water; you don't have to deal with the sticky sugar.

Spam, if you're asking about food that can be used as tool cleaners.
Spam was invented for the purpose of lubricating and cleansing rust from ships, then you have naval jelly which is this huge gloppy weird stuff that is some fat based cleanser, then your sodas. Really, a basic cleaner is just the same when you think price, the amount of coke or spam you'd use would equal some cleanser you could use more then once!

Naphtha - available in hardware stores, etc.

CILLIT BANG

can buy it in most stores
in the uk that is
if you dont have it in the states yet then i'm sure you will soon

it cleans absolutely anything
i really mean it
anything

why waste a coke or pepsi try useing a grinder to remove rust
from old tools.

You could try WD-40 or Avon's Skin-So-Soft bath oil, it has many uses.
