Why is it when I make Chai Tea...?!

Question:

Why is it when I make Chai Tea...?

with tea bags, it ends up tasting like water? I let the tea bag sit in it for 4 min.

Answers:
It's the brand of tea you're using because Chai tea is very flavorful. You have to experiment sometimes. Maybe buy from a specialy store of some sort, or just try another brand. I love Chai tea, and never find it to be tasteless or weak.

are you sure that is a tea bag ?

don't forget to use boiling water, and squeeze the bags really good when you take them out

Try to double up the tea bags. If it still taste like water, try 4.

Chai tea is black tea with a blend of spices from India and can steep for up to 6 minutes. Try steeping it longer and add a little sweetener. I used to not like Chai tea, but found out that with a little sweetener, it tastes great. Supposedly, it's supposed to be drank with lots of milk and sweetener, but I don't use the milk. Celestial Seasonings has different kinds of chai tea (green, white, honey), so if your current batch doesn't taste that good, try those kinds. If you steep the tea longer, and it still doesn't taste good to you, then it just might not suit you. good luck.

Don't use Chai Tea , prefer black tea. The flavor is intensified when steeped w/ a lid to keep the steam and flavor in.
