Why would somone drink NA beer?!

Question:

Why would somone drink NA beer?

Answers:
medical reasons can be a large part of it, such as drug interaction or those with diabetes. I have friend who truly loved beer but has Diabetes and alcohol causes big problems for him so he will drink a Na when hes at BBQ and such when he really misses having a beer. I wish they had better Na for him.

Plus its fun to serve to young people who think its real beer (watch them act drunk)

Largely, it is for recovering alcoholics, sober-drivers, or people who otherwise want to participate in the act of "drinking", but do not want to get drunk.

I've only seen people who are former heavy drinkers drinking them. FYI, there IS still alcohol in these "non" alcoholic beers!!! (maybe this is why these former drinkers seem to drink these like they are going out of style!)

just for the taste, and not the buzz

they dont want to get drunk men''and drive

In my husband's case, he like the taste of a beer, but is apparently slight allergic to something in regular beer. This way he gets to kick back with a beer or have one with his crawfish, without the reaction....

I had two friends that chose to drink NA beer - one was trying to quit smoking (drinking made it harder) and the other wanted to cut back on alcohol. Having NA beer or wine helped them stay social without having to explain the soda in their hand or feel out of place. They liked the taste and enjoyed the "feeling" of drinking without the effects. They both met their goals and drink less alcohol now. It was mainly for social reasons, they weren't recovering alcoholics.
