Flavor extracts can contain only purely natural flavors and no actual juice. You can buy lemon extract and orange extract, for example, and these do not contain juice. Flavor is just that, an essence.

This is of course partly an attempt to deceive those who buy such drinks, but your best defense is to do what you have done and read the whole label.

Sticks, dirt, rocks, bones, etc.

They lie. That's why you read the labels before you drink something.

h2o...i guess thats the natural part...but good question

There are many natural things that don't come from produce. For example, cinnamon is just tree bark. You could easily flavor something with cinnamon without making cinnamon juice.

cos it flavoring it not an extract for appel or what ever is all chemicals lol

It mean, "Of course drink flavored --- would taste like crap with no flavor!"

Does not necessarily mean it contain "Natural" flavors . . .

Junipero hope this give you better understanding of term, "Marketing."

it means "like", just to trick the consumer to buy it.

It can contain ginger root and be ginger ale. There is also sassafras, celery, coconut-flavor which are all popular in sodas.

well frankly all it means is the ingrediates are not man made (chemicals). there are alot of things not man made that are not juice. and natural does not mean it's good for you, i mean the popie plant is the basis for cocaine, its "all natural" too.

flavors are extracted from the sources and used.

It's like saying, It's flavored, naturally (of course)! The natural flavoring comes from something "similar" (similar to imitation)

it is done from juice extract or concentrate

If it is 100% Natural Flavor but is 0% Juice, then it might be 100% fruit not made into juice.Actually, that's kind of a hard question!Ya got me!!

I found this on Vegsource - an article written by Dar Veverka:

"The term natural flavor or natural flavoring means the essential oil, oleoresin, essence or extractive, protein hydrolysate, distillate, or any product of roasting, heating or enzymolysis, which contains the flavoring constituents derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice, vegetable or vegetable juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, bud, root, leaf or similar plant material, meat, seafood, poultry, eggs, dairy products, or fermentation products thereof, whose significant function in food is flavoring rather than nutritional."

In other words, natural flavors can be pretty much anything approved for use in food."

Great question.Natural???HHhmmmm!.Th... water. And thier bullsh;t.Ya hay you know when they ask for you'r comments on thier web sight we should ask that question and demand a response,,,,All right you just gave me a mission!
