Yes, it matter, Filtering will take out some of the impurities but not all, and not the chlorine and other chemicals. Bottled water marked "pure" or "enhanced" is nothing more than tap water. Spring or steam distilled water is best.

Pure water is pure water. I really don't care if it came from the glaciers of mars.
Depends on what you prefer. I've alwaysI preferred spring water, but in reality, U.S. regulations are weak at best, so it's not necessarilly pure. Filtered water, on the other hand, regardless of what tap it came from, has the impurities filtered out. So I guess it's more a matter of personal choice. I don't really notice any difference in taste.
