How much caffeine in mg's is ok?!

Question:

How much caffeine in mg's is ok?

I admit it I am addicted to caffeine and I cant help it... I tried to go cold turkey but that only gave me a really bad headache so I had to have a soda, I usually only have one Pepsi a day now but some times I am really tired so I get an energy drink like monster or full throttle ....they do have some good vitamins in them lol but i know they are not as healthy for me as i used to think so now what my question is, is how much is ok to have when you absolutely can not quit drinking sodas is one can ok or what?

Answers:
First, up to 200mg of caffine, around a cup of coffee, each day is considered harmless, and the maximum recommended amount a day is 800mg.

On the other hand, I think your main problem is sugar and not caffeine. Your headaches in particular may be due to this although they can also be produced from high caffeine dependency.

First reduce and then cut out the sugar content of your drinks by drinking sugar-free versions of soft drinks, and obtaining your caffeine from tea or coffee without sugar. Cutting down the sugar will be hard but stick with it and start drinking lots of water instead.

Slowly then cut down the caffeine. It takes only three to seven days to break the caffeine dependency in most people.
