Could someone explain to me the difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero?!

Question:

Could someone explain to me the difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero?

Besides that Coke Zero is caffeine free.

Answers:
different formulas. Coke Zero is the classic formula with sweeteners - designed to taste like classic. Diet coke is a different formula, still using sweeteners, but with a diet taste.

That is the differance.

I believe that is the only diffrence.

Different sweeteners

Believe Coke Zero is no "carbs"
Diet Coke is no calories.

FOUND THIS:
Diet Coke - Although it came out two years before “New” coke, diet coke that we’ve enjoyed since the 80s is the sugar free form of new coke. In other words, it’s based on the formula for the “New Coke” that wasn’t released yet (it debuted in 1985) when Diet Coke hit the market (1983), and is also now no longer available. (the New coke). Coca Cola has no plans at this time to discontinue the aspartame based Diet Coke, as it is third in the soda market. (After Coke and Pepsi, respectively.)

Coca Cola Zero - Sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame potassium., the reason this is different than Diet Coke is Coca Cola Zero is a sugar free version of the Classic Coke formulation. In other words, this is meant to be a sugar free version of the red cans of Coke you know and may or may not love. It has a redder, deeper color close to the color of Classic Coke and tastes far less like a diet soda (by many accounts) than Diet Coke.

Different formula/recipe. Try each one and see which you prefer. The only Diet Coke I care for is the Diet Black Cherry Vanilla. I love regular Coke, but their plain Diet doesn't do a thing for me.

Thats the only difference is the caffeine

Hot on the heels of Diet Coke With Splenda comes Coca-Cola Zero. Coke Zero is sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame potassium (ace-k) and has zero calories. The only chemical difference between Coke Zero and Diet Coke is that Coke Zero has about half the aspartame but has more ace-k.

Confused anyone? It's a marketing thing - Coke have manufactured a "diet" coke without using the word diet... which in their eyes will appeal to a different demographic.

Coke zero is not caffeine free
it tastes more like real coke than diet coke does, and doesn't have that awful after taste that diet coke has
I am a cokeaholic and due to diabetes have changed to zero and it is good, never thought id ever say that but i can drink it

The key difference is in the target market. Coca-Cola Zero is the newer zero-calorie Cola aimed at the younger men who don't like the diet taste or image, but still want the zero-calorie "benefit." The formulation is based on Coca-Cola Classic.

Diet Coke was originally introduced in 1982 (25 years ago) with a different formulation from the original Coca-Cola Formula and with less carbonation so it goes down easier (in the words of former Coca-Cola Chairman Goizueta, "smoother").

The sweetener for Diet Coke has changed over the years and most recently with Asparame. Diet Coke also has one product sweetened with Splenda.

Coca-Cola Zero uses a blend of acesulfame potassium and Aspartame.

In some countries Coke Zero is marketed as "zero carbs", while in others it is marketed as "zero cals", although Coke Zero does have a very small amount of calories, no matter which country you buy it in (about .2 -.5 cals/100mL).

Basically, Coke Zero was brought out for people who don't want to consume a load of sugar, like drinking Coke, but don't like Diet Coke.

Coke Zero is NOT caffeine free. In fact, it has slightly more caffeine than regular Coke. The values are as follows:
Coke (355mL) - 34mg
Coke Zero (355mL) - 34.5mg
Diet Coke (355mL) - 45mg
